Sheung Wan is prized amongst art connoisseurs for its numerous galleries and antique shops and top notch eateries, however it’s Graffiti is now catching the attention of the International art world. HKwalls have partnered up with Agnes B to offer an extra layer of cool gentrification to the streets of the city. Thanks to the Street artist project HKwalls the Graffiti culture in Hong Kong continues to prosper & evolve. The Tai Pin Shan area of Upper Sheung Wan has become the epicentre of Graffiti to such an extent that to the observer with a keen eye the walls of the district are forever changing sometimes on a daily basis. This new Graffiti seems to magically appear in the morning like brightly coloured psychedelic mushrooms in a rather sporadic yet organic way. Yet behind the invisible spray cans there is a crew of dedicated street artists transforming dusty walls in to provocative art work often in the cover of the night.
